Saimaa Geopark Mikkeli, Puumala & Sulkava 1:50,000 - Waterways Map

The scenic stretches of Lake Saimaa form a vast labyrinth of waterways. The sleek, hand-carved Savonian boats built here are perfectly suited for these waters. They are used annually in the Sulkava Grand Rowing Race, the world’s largest rowing event. The same sheltered routes are also ideal for kayaking and boating. Ferries carry cyclists across straits without bridges.

The map covers northern Lake Saimaa, from Ristiina and Mikkeli to Sulkava and Puumala. In addition to hiking information, it includes historical and geological sites within the UNESCO Geopark area.
