Silent Fell Wilderness

The Muotkatunturi wilderness area is best suited for experienced self-reliant hikers. There are no marked routes here; instead, travelers navigate the fells, river valleys, and palsas using their own skills. River paddlers can enjoy the upper reaches of the Inari River, the Kiela River—the winding upper course of the Kemijoki—and the Vaskojoki River. The map extends to the fells in the western parts of Lake Inari. We use laser scanning data in our maps, making the terrain information and contour lines more precisely detailed than before.

Our maps are printed on Tyvek material, which is waterproof and tear-resistant. Thanks to the clever sheet layout, all the area's most important destinations fit on a single map.
