- excellent composting efficiency
- generous size – 330 liters
Raw toilet waste contains nutrients and bacteria that must not be released untreated into nature, especially into waterways. During composting, these harmful bacteria disappear, and toilet waste transforms into a beneficial soil amendment. According to regulations, toilet waste composting must be carried out in such a way that no liquid can drain into nature. The Green Composter for Toilet Waste is a compliant, efficient composter for toilet waste.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The most important part of the Green Composter for Toilet Waste is its double bottom, which functions like a self-watering flowerpot. It allows excess liquid to drain out of the compost mass but also enables the liquid to be absorbed back into the compost mass by capillary action. This keeps the compost content suitably moist and ensures efficient composting.
Excess liquid drains through a liquid hose into a canister. This leachate can usually be poured back into the composter, where its urea content further accelerates composting.
The composter lid has a ventilation pipe cap and aeration holes on the sides, from which oxygen enters the compost.

post-treatment of waste. In these dry toilets, waste either does not compost at all or only partially pre-composts. Post-composting is easily handled in the Green.
USE
Toilet waste is recommended to be composted for 6-12 months in a closed composter. Any leachate that may drain from the compost must not be released into nature; instead, it must be collected and composted with the rest of the mass. If the toilet waste is wet, it is advisable to use peat and other dry garden waste in the composter to absorb the liquid.
Once the compost is ready, meaning it visually resembles soil and has no odor, it can be used as soil and nutrient in the yard. If there is a large amount of toilet waste, it may be sensible to use two composters: while new waste is added to one, the other can finish composting undisturbed.
