A lightweight, breathable, water-repellent windbreaker jacket for windy and/or damp running weather. Finland's changing weather conditions pose challenges for outdoor activities, especially in spring and autumn. It rains and sleet and slush splashes. The prevailing darkness also creates the need to stand out in traffic. With these special needs in mind, Kivalo designed a jacket that meets the needs of the intermediate seasons in particular.
Features:
- Lightweight and breathable, water-repellent windbreaker for windy and/or damp running weather.
- Versatile and extensive adjustment options ensure a perfect fit.
- Tightening at the back of the back to help with dogs with up-set or curled tails.
- Orange high-visibility color and wide reflective patterns promote visibility. Attachment for safety light.
- Inside the high, protective collar is a tricot collar that protects the head and ears if necessary and acts as a windbreaker inside the jacket.
- Adjustable neck and waist.
- Two belt loops on the back.
- Adjustable and removable rubber loops around the hind legs.
The Kivalo Ohto protects the dog's entire body from the neck to the tail, so that the most sensitive parts of the body remain dry and the cold and the "wet feeling" that is quite unpleasant for some dogs do not take over. The hem is long both in the front and back, so that water flows to the ground, protecting the important large muscles of the limbs from getting wet. The chest is protected by its own piece, which is attached to the back with a belt. The Ohto jacket has invested in good adjustment options, which allows the jacket to fit perfectly for dogs with different structures. The jacket has two belt passage options on the back. The passage locks the belt in place, so that it does not ride up and the stomach piece does not go into the bag.
The jacket has a drawstring at the back, which can be adjusted to ensure a snug fit even for dogs with upturned or curled tails. There is soft stretch fabric around the front legs that moves with the dog's movements.
The high, protective collar of the coat has an elasticated drawstring. Inside the collar is a second hood made of tricot fabric, which can be pulled up to protect the dog's head and ears or tightened inside the outer collar as an insulating windbreaker. Wide perforated elastic bands run around the hind legs, which can also be fastened crosswise if desired, so that the coat stays in place and provides even better protection. The elastic bands can also be removed completely if necessary.
The Ohto jacket has plenty of reflectors, which increase safety when moving around at dusk and in the dark. The orange color of the jacket helps to distinguish the dog better even on gray autumn days. There are two belt loops on the back, one of which, left free, provides a place to attach a safety light.
The leash can be connected to a harness tucked under the jacket through a waterproof, zippered pass-through on the back. There is also a separate opening in the collar for connecting a collar and leash.
For dogs that are sensitive to cold or on a cool day, the Kivalo Luppo Thermal Shirt can be worn as a warm layer under the Ohto jacket.
Care instructions: Rinse with water after use when the jacket is dirty. Hand wash only. Do not bleach or iron. Hang to dry.
