HOW GREEN TOILET LUX WORKS

All toilet waste and paper go into a single tank, where solid waste separates from liquid with the help of a special double bottom. This allows composting to begin during use.

Green Toilet is based on batch composting, meaning the use of replacement tanks. When the tank in use fills up, it is replaced with a new one. The full tank is covered with a lid and moved to a suitable place for post-composting, until it becomes nutrient-rich soil (6-12 months depending on conditions). Green Toilet tanks are easy to move with wheels.

Green Toilet LUX Basic Package Contents

The basic package is non-separating and includes 120-liter composters – options include larger, 330-liter tanks and a urine-separating porcelain seat.

Basic package contents:

• Oslo porcelain seat, non-separating (both liquid and solid waste go into the same compost tank)
• Duct fan (two-speed, connected directly to the junction box)
• ventilation pipes 2 x 100 cm, 1 x aluminum flexible pipe 100-250 cm (+fittings, connectors, and ventilation pipe cap)
• waste chute, dia 20 cm, length 100 cm (longer/shorter if needed)
• liquid canister and hose, liquid plug
• wheel set (one set, which can be transferred between containers)

If you choose a separating seat, the package includes an extra canister and hose.

HOW TO MAINTAIN GREEN TOILET LUX

During use, bulking material is added to the Green Toilet LUX either after each use (approx. 1-2 dl) or as a separate maintenance procedure once every 1-2 weeks (approx. 5-10 liters).

When the compost tank fills up, an empty replacement tank is put in its place. Watch the product video, which shows the tank change. It is worth noting that the change is quick and does not require shoveling.

OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES

If you wish to increase capacity or extend maintenance intervals, you can choose a larger Green Toilet 330 composter and/or a separating porcelain seat for the package. If the installation is done in a completely electricity-free location, the duct fan can be replaced with a wind-powered fan or a solar panel fan.

An alternative to the non-separating porcelain seat is the urine-separating Hanko seat.
