EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) has approved a total of 17 positive health claims for the active ingredients in the fish-olive oil blend used in Effektr. The polyphenols in pharmaceutical-grade extra-virgin olive oil make Effektri bioactive, preserving the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, as well as other fatty acids (omega-3, 6, and 7) in a functional and absorbable form. The bioactive polyphenols in olive oil are the only antioxidants to have received an EFSA-approved health claim: “Olive oil polyphenols (5 mg/day) protect blood fatty acids from oxidation.”
